It's Got a Y Chromosome!
For your viewing pleasure, here's Xander from today's ultrasound.
There are more at flickr, if you've friended me there.
As you can see, he spent most of the photo session today kicking his own head. My mom mentioned the Simpson Y Chromosome. I wonder.
He is definitely a boy. We have, in fact, a crotch shot to prove it. With the title "BOY." Complete with little arrows added by the tech to helpfully illustrate his various boy-bits. Why I need a highlighted photo of my son's genitalia I do not know. I think I would have preferred one of the creepy ones of his hands, with the little metatarsal and metacarpal bones floating ghostlike as he reached up to grab his feet, his feet with their little prehensile toes like a monkey. Or his long long arms, humorus to ulna to radius to those beautiful hands. Or his brain, which faded and appeared as the tech pressed and backed off, showing us face or cerebellum or hindbrain as she moved. Or oh, that shot of his feet reaching down down down to kick at the internal ultrasound probe. Oh, those feet.
Um. I'm a little in love.
