this makes me livid
a passenger was made to change his shirt before he got on a jetblue plane. because his shirt had
writing in arabic on it.
besides the whole speech-is-not-actionable issue, his accounting of the story makes me very sad, because 1) the mere fact that he had writing on his shirt in a language that is also the language of some of the people who want to use terrorist tactics against us means that all of those he interacted with assumed he shared those politics to one extent or another. 2) that people were really, really scared of him. he made people really nervous. because they didn't know what his t-shirt said.
my girlfriend has that same shirt in english.
